Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is the educational research and development unit at Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University.

The Centre for Teaching and Learning

  • Conducts research in higher education teaching and learning and offers in-service training courses in teaching and learning for doctoral students,, assistant, associate and full professors at Aarhus BSS,
  • Is involved in development and consultancy work within the faculty and the faculty’s departments and centres,
  • Is involved in development and consultancy work at Aarhus University through the Network for Educational Development at Aarhus University.

CTL's overall aim is to promote research-based development at Aarhus BSS of, among other things:

  • forms of learning
  • forms of teaching
  • forms of examination
  • evaluation of teaching
  • e-learning
  • multicultural and multilingual learning spaces (the international university)
  • competencies of teaching staff
  • course organisation.

CTL is therefore involved in a number of research and development projects and organises department seminars, academic days etc. in collaboration with the departments and centres at Aarhus BSS.
